Air Côte d'Ivoire is the flag carrier of Ivory Coast, located in Abidjan. The airline opened its doors on November 12th 2012 and it is partially owned by Air France. Their team made of 578 staff, including 87 pilots, 174 flight attendants, 66 airplane technicians and 251 people on the ground work hand in hand to give customers the best experience. “Notre plus beau voyage, c'est vous” is the company slogan meaning “Our best trip is you” .

Monday, July 17th in Toulouse, Air Côte d’Ivoire received its new A320 at a ceremony that was held at the Airbus Delivery Center in Toulouse. Didier Evrard, Airbus Executive Vice President Programmes and General Abdoulaye Coulibaly, Chairman of Air Côte d’Ivoire’s Board of Directors led the colorful ceremony.

The A320 single-aisle jetliner family is the incontestable most successful aircraft product line of all time. Passengers can store their luggage easier in the generous overhead compartments and due to the widest single-aisle cabin, they also enjoy more personal space and wider seats. All A320 family aircraft is 180 minute away from a suitable airfield in cased of contingency owing to an ETOPS-180 rating. In addition, all pilots are qualified to fly the four members of the family without supplementary training.

Low operating costs and excellent fuel consumption performance were one of the many reasons Air Côte d’Ivoire chose the A320 family. The airline already operates six Airbus aircraft ( four A319s and two A320) offering their passengers 25 different domestic routes in West and Central Africa. Their new A320 is equipped with 16 business class and 132 economy class seats. Stelia Aerospace provided the new “Celeste” seat which offers an unmatchable level of comfort in the business class, while the economy class provides a high quality internet and lighting system.
