Lockheed Martin’s PAC-3 Missile successfully intercepted an incoming target on Thursday, Nov. 19, as part of a U.S. Army-led missile defense flight test at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. The “Hit-To-Kill” PAC-3 Missile is the world’s most advanced, capable and powerful terminal air defense missile. It defeats the entire threat: tactical ballistic missiles (TBMs), cruise missiles and aircraft.

The US State Department has approved a potential $157 million sale of TOW 2A radio frequency missiles and M220A2 TOW launchers to the African country of Morocco. The official request from Morocco is for 600 TOW 2A radio frequency missiles, 300 M220A2 launchers, and seven TOW 2A launchers.

Northrop Grumman has been selected by the United States Army to develop the Airborne Reconnaissance Low-Enhanced (ARL-E) Long-Range Radar. Details of the contract have not been determined yet - it is unknown when they will be delivered or what the quantity is. What has been determined is Northrop Grumman will also develop an SAR (synthetic aperture radar) and GMTI (ground moving target indicator) system for the ARL-E DHC-8. The deal also included options for both engineering and manufacturing development and low-rate initial production of the Common Infrared Countermeasure (CIRCM) program.

Rheinmetall has secured an important order in connection with a key program within the British Ministry of Defense to produce a new generation of combat vehicles for Her Majesty’s Armed Forces. The contract will enlist Rheinmetall to equip the British Army with a new family of Scout specialist vehicles. The German-based company said it had signed a $142 million deal with prime contractor Lockheed Martin UK. The contract covers the production of the turret structure and weapon mount (TSWM) for the 245 turreted versions of the Scout SV that are being purchased out of a total of 589 units.
