TeleCommunication Systems Receives $14.2M to Continue Support of USMC’s Tactical Satellite Communications Network

TeleCommunication Systems (TCS) has received an order of $14.2 million to continue support of the United States Marine Corps’ Tactical Satellite Communications Network. Under this agreement, they will continue to deliver Ku satellite bandwidth, terrestrial support, and 24-hour support services to the USMC TSCN. It was issued under the joint Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)/GSA Future Commercial Satcom Acquisition program.

TCS in one of eight prime contractors awarded by Custom SATCOM Solutions (CS2). The total contract is worth $2.6 billion, and is being managed through the U.S. General Services Administration along with DISA. This services provided under this deal will extend the USMC enterprise network to deployed users.

TCS stated their goal is to deliver the best service possible to the Marines, who need their communications systems to be working at all times.
