With the goal to go after the U.S Army’s Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations Maintenance Program, or ATMP, Lockheed Martin is currently in the process of assembling a team. They have partnered with Cubic Global Defense and Pulau to compete for the $2.8 billion training and simulation contract that is currently held by Raytheon.
The Army’s Training Maintenance Program (ATMP) provides maintenance, lifecycle management and sustainment of more than 250,000 fielded training aids, devices, simulations, and simulators (TADSS) and ranges in support of worldwide Army training. Some of the Army training includes digital range training, urban operations training system, advanced gunnery, combat tactical training, and joint land component constructive training. Lockheed’s partnership with Cubic Global Defense is essential and benefits the program because they currently provide advanced training equipment, solutions and supporting services to the U.S. Army. They will focus on the training for both the individual and collective force. Palua on the other hand supports the Army with operation, maintenance, and logistical services.
Lockheed Martin training and logistics solution general manager and vice president Jon Rambeau said,
"Our ATMP team combines a global logistics and sustainment footprint with smart technology solutions that will maximize the army's operational awareness, and the return on investment in their training enterprise."
